Taking up the space of a single cocotte, the Staub 3-piece stackable cast iron set gives you a cast iron cookware set made in France, perfect for everyday cooking. The set includes 2 versatile stackable cast iron pieces and a universal condensation lid, allowing you to prepare your favourite recipes with wonderfully flavourful results. Once you’ve finished cooking, simply stack the casseroles together and everything is ready to store neatly.
The design with sloping sides on the two cocottes allows for a tighter fit when stacked. The set also includes 2 removable protectors that help prevent rubbing and scratches when placing the pieces together. With the lid in place, the complete set takes up the same space as a single cocotte, making storage tidy and highly practical.
The set includes:
The cocotte, casserole and lid are made from vitreous enamelled cast iron. They retain heat exceptionally well and distribute it evenly, from the base right up to the rim and the lid, which also heats up. Free from non-stick coatings, they stand out for their exceptional durability, excellent heat retention and distribution, and versatility. With them, you can cook all kinds of recipes in a completely natural and healthy way, with full flavour and excellent results.
The interior enamel of the Staub cocottes is matt black. Highly resistant and appreciated for how well it performs in slow and gentle cooking as well as at high temperatures. This finish enhances the browning of food, offers excellent durability, is highly resistant to stains and scratches, and makes cleaning and maintaining the pieces easier.
The universal cast iron condensation lid fits both cocottes in the set. Inside, it features small spikes that encourage self-basting. The lid retains moisture and makes the most of it, redistributing the generated steam over the food in the form of raindrops. The results are far more tender, juicy and full of flavour.
The cocotte is an extremely versatile piece. With its 4.2-litre capacity, it allows you to cook larger quantities and is perfect both for dishes requiring long, gentle cooking and for recipes needing high temperatures. With it, you can prepare stews and casseroles, roasts, slow-cooked meats, soups and velvety creams, legume dishes or vegetable stews, rice dishes, fish or meat casseroles, all kinds of pasta recipes and even bake cakes and breads, achieving wonderful results thanks to its condensation lid.
This is a highly versatile casserole. Thanks to its wide surface and height, it works perfectly as a Casserole dish for stews, as a frying pan for sautéing, browning, roasting or frying, as a griddle for meats, fish and vegetables, as a baking tin for tarts, cakes or breads, as a paella pan for rice dishes or fideuà, or as a roasting tray for roasts and gratins.
Two 24 cm cast iron pieces: a 4.2-litre cocotte and a 1.9-litre multi-purpose pan. Plus a condensation lid that fits both and 2 silicone edge protectors.
The 4-piece set also includes a 2.9-litre shallow casserole and 4 protectors. Otherwise, the pieces and the lid are the same.
Stacked with the lid on, the two pieces take up the same space as a single cocotte.
It's a condensation lid: inside it has small raised points that collect the steam and return it to the food as drops, like gentle rain. This makes stews more tender and juicy.
Because it's the enamel that cooks best. In long stews, less sticks than with a light interior, the sauce reduces less, and the aromas stay in the dish rather than on the walls. It also browns meat better and is very easy to clean.
Yes. They work on all hobs, including induction, and in the oven. They withstand -20 °C to 260 °C, so they can also go in the fridge and the freezer.
They can go in the dishwasher, but we recommend washing them by hand. Their black matte enamel interior resists stains and scratches and is very easy to clean. When cooking, use wooden, silicone or nylon utensils.
Lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects on the cast iron pieces. Made in France.
