The GreenPan Essence Ceramic Frying Pan combines durability and excellent performance thanks to its aluminum body and reinforced ceramic coating. Being made with recycled cast aluminum, it distributes heat very efficiently, quickly and evenly. Its ceramic non-stick coating is completely free of PFAS, lead, and cadmium, and offers excellent durability thanks to its diamond particle reinforcement. It is a perfect pan for easy, comfortable, and healthy cooking.
You will see that you can saute, cook on the griddle, gently fry, or prepare your everyday recipes with less oil and with even cooking results. You will use it for everything, both on the stovetop and in the oven, because it has been designed and made to make your day-to-day life in the kitchen easier when using and cleaning it.
The Essence pan is made with 65% recycled aluminum, and its sustainable design makes it easy to disassemble for recycling at the end of its useful life. It helps reduce environmental impact without losing any of aluminum's advantages: it is lightweight, durable, and offers excellent heat distribution.

What sizes are available?

How is it different from the other GreenPan frying pans?
The Essence has a cast aluminium body with 65% recycled aluminium, and is light and very easy to handle. The Geneva, Premiere and Apex have a three-layer stainless steel body and are oven safe up to 220 °C.
Does the coating contain PFAS?
No. GreenPan's Thermolon™ ceramic coating is free from PFAS, PFOA, lead and cadmium, and lets you cook with very little oil.
Is it suitable for induction and the oven?
Yes, it works on all hobs, including induction, and in the oven up to 160 °C. The handle is cool-touch.
How do I look after the ceramic coating?
Heat it up gradually over a medium-low setting with a little oil: this keeps it non-stick for much longer. It can go in the dishwasher, but we recommend washing it by hand with a soft sponge.
